Vintage Postcard chosen as 2012 Live Oak Music Festival Artwork
The colorful painting created by Melody Fisher to represent the 2012 Live Oak Music Festival resembles avintage postcard with multiple vignettes that will be instantly recognizable to seasoned “Oakies”. The artwork will adorn 2012 Live Oak Music Festival t-shirts and other merchandise sold at the annual outdoor concert & camping event that benefits KCBX Public Radio. Raised in the mountains of Colorado, and trained in fine art in Texas, Melody moved to the Central Coast nearly 20 years ago. She divides her time between Arroyo Grande and her property in New Mexico, and works locally as a scenic artist and stage hand. Melody was introduced to Live Oak through friends and has been a volunteer on the production crew of the Live Oak Music Festival for the last several years. She loves the setting of the festival and wanted her acrylic painting to emphasize the beauty of the place, with festival images superimposed in much the same way that the festival is created on the land.
