In astrologically terms, eclipses are labeled “life changers”. They’re known to carry news which indicates it’s time to prepare for an adjustment in some department of our life. Information can be introduced in the form of a soft whisper or as an earth-shattering shout. Sometimes the specifics come as feedback, sometimes as opportunity and at times as a brilliant flash of insight. They tend to stir our emotions, light up our passions and present facts that we really need in order to move forward.
Eclipses are common occurrences that take place at least four times a year and at times as many as six. This month we will experience the fourth of the five total of this year.
There are two very different types; a Solar or New Moon eclipse and a Lunar, Full Moon eclipse. Each has a life span of approximately six months. This time frame goes well beyond the usual monthly moon cycle reference.
We will experience a Full Moon eclipse on October 18. This is a good target date to use for the completion of projects that have been in limbo or have been in need of revision. This is also an appropriate time to let go of that which is no longer useful. It’s a period of “endings” that create space for fresh “beginnings” which are energized during a New Moon phase.
The final New Moon eclipse of this year comes into affect next month on November 3. This solar occurrence adds excitement to new situations and encourages the expansion of horizons while in pursuit of fresh experiences. You are being urged to let the adventuresome part of your nature come forward so you can enjoy the newness that could enter your life. This tends to be a cycle of growth and self-development which will at times test your flexibility and adaptability.
When you work along with an eclipse pattern and go with the flow, you may find you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. These “wonders of nature” can bring in events that will be long remembered as opening up an interesting new chapter in your life.
