Richmond 1 article
Richmond occupies a long shoreline on San Pablo Bay and the eastern side of San Francisco Bay in western Contra Costa County. Its shipyards were central to wartime manufacturing, a history preserved at the Rosie the Riveter national historical park. Port facilities, rail lines and a refinery occupy portions of the industrial waterfront, while hillside neighborhoods and the Richmond BART station connect the city to a broader East Bay landscape.
