Redwood City 1 article

Redwood City is San Mateo County's seat on the San Francisco Peninsula, where an older downtown meets the bayfront port and tidal wetlands. Courthouse Square marks its civic center, and Caltrain plus Highway 101 connect it with Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Bair Island's marshes and the Redwood Shores area illustrate the varied eastern edge of the municipality. Its waterfront industrial history and inland residential districts give the city more than one local identity.
